Fantic Racing Enduro teams start the 2023 season at the Assoluti d'Italia

There is much curiosity around Fantic Racing team riders, among world champions, comebacks after injuries, and absolute debuts.

Santa Maria di Sala (VE), March 3rd, 2023

In the 2023 enduro season, Fantic is the defender of three titles: the two world championships of Harry Edmondson (Youth) and Jane Daniels (Women) and the Assoluti d'Italia of Kevin Cristino in the Youth class.

The Italian manufacturer will try to repeat these victories and go on the assault of new successes, starting just this weekend in Andora (SV).

After the usual walking to check the tracks, the Fantic Racing and JET Fantic Racing teams will put their Fantic 2T and 4T motorcycles in the parc fermé before tackling the first race of the year.

In Luguria, Cristino will begin the Championship title defense, but his teammates will also try to bring home the first satisfactions of the year. Lorenzo Macoritto, promoted to E3, looks forward to returning to the Fantic XE 300 10 months after his knee injury.

There is much curiosity around Gianluca Facchetti, making his debut among the stones of the enduro specials after his successes in motocross. Albin Norrbin, after his four consecutive victories in last year's finale, is called upon to confirm himself at the same level.

Although very young, Valentino Corsi is not a rookie at the Assoluti d'Italia and has high expectations.

Simone Albergoni, team manager of the Fantic Racing Enduro team: "The guys are very motivated. They desire redemption and confirmation, and they can't wait to start. I think the race can be decided with the extreme, which is very technical, and the enduro, which is the longest. So it will be a good test for both the bikes and the riders."

The two world champions also show up in Andora: Edmondson, with the category change from 125 to 250, will have to find the best feeling, while Daniels and Jed Etchells are already familiar with the XEF 250

Franco Mayr, JET Fantic Racing team manager: "It's back to watching the stopwatch after so much training, finally. We have a good responsibility, but we are all Brit riders team, and this is a test ahead of the next races. But we still want to make a good impression."

Along with its two teams, there will also be other Fantics riders: for example, those of the JR Fantic Racing TeamTony Specia's lineup, who trusts in the innovative features of the 2T XE 125 and XE 300 models, will ride in Liguria with three out of four riders: Roberto Da CanalPietro Scardina, and Riccardo Pasquato. Specia prefers not to risk Thomas Bastiani, who struggles with knee discomfort.

A very young team (except for class 93 Da Canal, the average age of the others is close to 18 years old), in keeping with the philosophy of the Venetian company, aimed at growing, from a technical and sporting point view, the young enduro talents.

In Andora, we will also see Alex Salvini participate, making his debut riding the XEF 450. After participating in the Dakar 2023 with the XEF 450 Rally, the former motocross champion returns to ride a Fantic at the Assoluti d'Italia.
