Continuing his fill-in stint aboard the Fantic XXF 450, Jörgen-Matthias Talviku showed good speed at the MXGP of The Netherlands. With 15th- and 13th-place finishes, he came close to the top 10 overall.

With Alberto Forato and Brent Van doninck on the sidelines, Jörgen-Matthias Talviku flew the flag for Fantic Factory Racing MXGP in front of a passionate crowd of over 30,000 fans in Arnhem for round 16 of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship.

On his third GP appearance with the team, the 23-year-old Estonian delivered a solid performance in demanding conditions at the Motorsportpark Gelderland Midden. “JMT” started off strong and posted the 11th-fastest lap in time practice, before holding the same spot for most of the qualifying race. Despite battling sickness, he pushed through to cross the line in 15th place.

Tenth in Sunday morning’s warm-up was another hint of his good feeling aboard the Fantic XXF 450, but an unlucky start to race 1 left the Fantic rider with more work to do. As he hit the gate, Talviku was forced to follow the pack from behind. He put his head down and recovered to 15th place, and backed it up with another solid ride and more progress in race 2: Talviku secured 13th to place 16th overall, just 2 points shy of the top 10 in a highly competitive MXGP field.

“It was a solid weekend. Sick or not, we left everything out on track. On Saturday, I had a good start and was riding around P11 before finishing in P15. The speed was there, it was just a shame about the mistake at the start of race 1. We pushed hard for P15 and P13. I ended up in P16 overall, but just a couple of points from the top 10. I felt better on the bike this weekend, and I was also more relaxed. So, the progress was definitely there and I am happy with it. A big thank you to Fantic, the whole team and all the sponsors.”
