Greater Noida, September 20, 2023
September 24 will be the first MotoGP race in India. The event arouses curiosity among riders unfamiliar with the 4.96-kilometer track with thirteen turns, eight right and five left, and a straight of more than a kilometer.
But, for now, extra racing issues are holding stage: many race participants are facing challenges, including canceled flights due to missing work visas, the quaint delivery to the track of the cases containing the very expensive motorbikes, or the last-minute track changes to obtain homologation.
The Fantic Racing team has also arrived at the new Buddh International Circuit in a reduced lineup, and the visa issue is hoped to be resolved before the event begins.
It is, however, a challenge that the Fantic Racing team is ready to take, starting with Celestino Vietti, who wants to continue the brilliant period after the second place in the last San Marino GP, the outstanding comeback at Montmeló and the first, unforgettable victory at the Austrian GP.
The track is unknown to everyone, and finally, Borja Gomez will play it almost on equal terms with his opponents.
Celestino Vietti: "I am excited to race at the Buddh International Circuit. We are expecting a tough weekend because of the weather and the track, which is new for all the riders. Interpreting it as quickly as possible will be crucial, and we will do our best starting from FP1."
Borja Gomez: "I look forward to exploring the new circuit, as it will level the playing field for all riders. I can't wait to get on the bike and have a good weekend."
