Halfway point for the Assoluti: Pasquato and Pavoni on the podium

After a dream start to the EnduroGP season, Fantic claimed a double podium at the third round of the Assoluti d’Italia, once again on Sicilian soil. In Caltanissetta, Riccardo Pasquato stepped onto the third step of the podium in the 125 class, while Matteo Pavoni strengthened his hold on second place in the 450 class.

On the weekend of 17–19 April, Caltanissetta (CL) hosted the third round of the 2026 Italian Enduro Championship. The event gathered a large crowd and got underway as early as Friday afternoon with the SuperTest, held in front of many enthusiastic fans.

The course, designed by Moto Club Fuorigiri in collaboration with track inspector Mario Rinaldi, covered a total of around 44 km. Four special tests were scheduled, repeated four times on Saturday and three times on Sunday, for a total of 21 special tests. The layout included a technical and selective Enduro Test, a short but demanding and spectacular Extreme Test, and a fast and flowing Cross Test.

Fresh off his maiden world championship win, Riccardo Pasquato completed the Caltanissetta round with two third-place finishes in the 125 class. Despite a few mistakes that prevented him from fighting for the top spot, it was another positive weekend for the Fantic Factory Racing Enduro youngster aboard his XE 125, with consistent lap times across all special tests. With this result, Pasquato currently sits third in the provisional 125 standings, just two points behind second place.

Another strong performance came from Matteo Pavoni aboard the Fantic XEF 450. The factory-supported Team Specia rider wrapped up the weekend with two second-place finishes, confirming strong pace and consistency. Pavoni remains firmly in second place in the 450 class standings.

With the Sicilian races now completed, the Assoluti d’Italia enter a long break, with the championship set to resume on the weekend of 4–5 July in Pianello Val Tidone (PC), for round four of the 2026 season.

Riccardo Pasquato:

“At the EnduroGP season opener, I found the feeling almost straight away, whereas this weekend it took me a bit longer. It didn’t go as well as I had hoped – a few too many mistakes certainly didn’t help – but we still take away two third-place finishes. Now we keep working, with full focus on the second round of the World Championship coming up in Spain. Heading there as the Youth class leader gives me an extra boost, and we will give our maximum as always. Thanks to Fantic and my whole team for the amazing support.”
