Jerez de la Frontera, April 30th, 2023
The Spanish GP held at the Angel Nieto circuit at Jerez de la Frontera, the fourth round of the Moto2 World Championship, had an unlucky ending for Celestino Vietti, who had to retire due to a crash during the fifth lap.
Cele, who started from seventh on the grid after a good qualifying session on Saturday afternoon, ended up in the group. Then, in an attempt to recover positions, the crash on the fifth lap ended his race early.
Borja Gomez finished in the nineteenth position. The rookie showed his growth again with a careful race. Starting from 22nd place, he avoided traffic and the associated risks, crossing the finishing line at 19th.
The Fantic Racing team will be back on track over the weekend of 12-14 May, at Le Mans, for the French GP.
