Fantic XE 300 and Pavoni Claim Italian Title, Cristino Dominates

Matteo Pavoni, a factory-supported Team Specia rider aboard the Fantic XE 300 equipped with a Minarelli engine, is the new Italian Enduro Champion in the 300 class. Kevin Cristino continues his dominance in the Junior category, while Albin Norrbin secured Top 10 finishes in the Overall standings on both race days at the Assoluti d’Italia in Civitaquana.

Exactly one month after the previous round, the Assoluti d’Italia di Enduro returned this past weekend, June 6–8, in Civitaquana (Province of Pescara) for the penultimate round of Italy’s premier Enduro championship. The round proved particularly demanding due to the scorching temperatures and a highly technical 48 km course featuring three special tests – each repeated four times on Saturday and three times on Sunday – adding up to 21 special tests across the race weekend.

For the occasion, Motoclub Lupi del Cigno, under the guidance of Track Inspector Mario Rinaldi, designed a challenging loop featuring, in sequence: a 1.5 km Extreme Test with artificial obstacles (also used in Friday’s evening Prologue), a 7 km Enduro Test demanding both skill and precision, and a 5 km Cross Test on a hard, dusty surface to wrap up each lap.

After a hot and dusty weekend, Fantic had reason to celebrate in Civitaquana! Thanks to another double victory, Matteo Pavoni and Team Specia clinched the Italian Enduro title in the 300 class. Riding the Fantic XE 300 with a fuel-injected Minarelli engine, the Italian rider has already scored 157 points in a standout season – securing the title with one round still to go.

The Fantic XE 300 also plays a leading role in the Junior class, where Kevin Cristino proved unstoppable, claiming his fourth consecutive double win. In addition to dominating his category, the reigning Junior champion also broke into the Overall Top 10 on both race days, finishing ninth and eighth respectively.

It was a strong weekend, too, for Albin Norrbin, who delivered a consistent performance to finish inside the Top 10 Overall on both days. The Swedish rider placed eighth on Day One and tenth on Day Two aboard his Fantic XEF 310. In the Foreigners’ class, he finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Pietro Scardina endured a more unfortunate outing. The 125 class rider narrowly missed victory on the opening day, settling for second place, and was forced to retire on Sunday due to a minor mechanical issue.

Next up: the grand finale in Sant’Angelo in Vado (PU), on July 12–13, where the final round of the 2025 Italian Enduro Championship will determine the season’s remaining titles.

Kevin Cristino:

“Also here in Civitaquana I managed to win both race days in the Junior class. With just one round left in Sant’Angelo in Vado, we are in a strong position to fight for the Junior title. The heat made things more difficult, but I still managed two solid Overall results.”

Albin Norrbin:

“I am happy to have finished both race days in the Overall Top 10 and to have placed fourth and fifth in the Foreigners’ class. It was a good weekend for me despite the high temperatures.”

Matteo Pavoni:

“I am really pleased to have secured the 300 class title with one race to spare. I want to thank the entire team and Tony Specia for their trust and support since the beginning of the season. Now I want to finish this season with good results in the EnduroGP World Championship as well.”
