With this morning's free practice, the German GP, the seventh round of the Moto2 World Championship, began.
An air temperature of 17° welcomed the riders to the track after rain the previous evening. FP1 was held on dry asphalt, while the second session was declared wet and started 10 minutes late due to a broken air fence at Turn 8 during Moto3 FP2.
Celestino stayed in the top 14 securing a place in tomorrow's Q2.
Borja Gomez, who took to the track for the first time at the Sachsenring circuit, finished the morning session in 22nd position. Tomorrow the young Spanish rider will have to start from Q1, having finished with the 24th fastest time.
Tomorrow FP3 at 9:25 am, then qualifying from 1:45 pm.
Celestino Vietti: "Unfortunately, this afternoon, we could not try some things we had prepared in case of dry conditions. Based on the forecast, it seems like we can accomplish the task tomorrow. In general, I feel good on the bike, and tomorrow I am sure we will improve our performances."
