Fantic returns on track for the GP of San Marino

Misano Adriatico, September 7, 2023

This weekend's San Marino and Rimini Riviera Moto2 GP is the second home race for the Fantic Racing team. After this event, the MotoGP flies to Asia for two months before the final grand prix in Valencia.

The Marco Simoncelli circuit has sixteen corners and three short straights, the longest measuring 530 meters. Its layout made up of numerous direction changes with strong decelerations, offers riders countless overtaking opportunities.

After his first fantastic victory at the Austrian GP and his stunning comeback from the twenty-third position to the top 10 at the Catalan GP, Celestino Vietti is expected by his fans and will try to consolidate his place in the standings. At the moment, he is sixth with 86 points.

Borja Gomez will face another new circuit but is ready to confirm his recent improvements.

Celestino Vietti: "I am looking forward to racing in Misano because it is our home grand prix, and because I like the circuit, I hope to be as fast as last year. Sunday did not go as planned, and I want to give the team and my fans a good result."

Borja Gomez: "I am happy to race in Italy and very curious about the Marco Simoncelli circuit. We have started working with my team, and I want to give my best."
