The Motocross World Championship arrived in Turkey at the technical and fast track of Afyonkarahisar for the penultimate round of the EMX250 and the final round of the Women's World Championship. 

EMX250

In the EMX250, Cas Valk proved his talent and improvement thanks to an excellent performance on the hard-packed ground of the Turkish track.

Valk was the author of a solid result at the start of the first moto, where he took second place after the first corner. In the first laps, he studied his rival's strategy to attack him, and eventually, he overcame him and led the race. Thanks to a solid race pace, the Dutch rider opened a gap and took the victory at the end of a perfect moto.
Alexis Fueri was wise initially, and his race pace was solid. This allowed him to climb the standings to second place. Unfortunately, after contact with a rival, Fueri lost some positions and crashed while trying to work his way up, so the French were forced to leave the race. Luckily, he was not affected by any injury from the accident. 
Hakon Osterhagen did not feel as good with the track as he would have liked and qualified 11th.

In the moto2, an excellent start for Alexis Fueri, who took the lead in the race after the first corner. Even if it seemed like the French rider could have kept that position, he slipped, lost ground, and eventually crossed the finish line in seventh position. 
Bad luck for Cas Valk at the start, who cannot avoid a rival crashing in front of him. The Dutch had to start from the last position but worked until the fifth place, thanks to a phenomenal recovery. 
Hakon Osterhagen closed the race ninth.     

After these results, Cas Valk finishes the Turkish GP on the second step of the overall podium and consolidates his third place in the European 250 classification. In England's last season race, the Dutchman can aim for second place in the European Championship standings.

In the EMX250 year of debut with his Fantic XX 250, actually, Cas won two GPs and scored three consecutive podiums in the last three grand prix and four victories in the last six races, five in the entire season.

WMX

The Women's World Championship saw the excellent performance of Lynn Valk. Although the track conditions were not ideal for the Dutch rider, Lynn did well in the free practice and set the fifth-best time in the qualifying.

At the start of the first race, Valk was the author of a great start. After moving to fourth place, she made no mistake and kept that position till the checkered flag after battling it out with the other rivals.

In Race2, Lynn was the only protagonist of the heat, thanks to a perfect start and an unbeatable rhythm for her rivals. Valk's advantage allowed her to ride a solo race and win the heat riding her Fantic XXF 250.

Thanks to these two results, Lynn Valk reached the second step of the podium at the GP of Turkey and was fourth overall in the Women's World Championship standings.

The Fantic Factory MX Team will head back to Italy and train for the GP of Italy, scheduled in Maggiora on the 16th and 17th of September.

Fueri and Osterhagen were a little subdued, and Alexis paid for a few too many mistakes. Lynn was excellent and consistent in both heats and achieved a great podium.
