This weekend, the Loket round of the MXGP World Championship will also host the EMX2T Championship for 2-stroke motorcycles.
Fantic has already written its name in the records of the race: in 2021, it was the absolute protagonist, with the dominant victory of Maximilian Spies followed by teammate Federico Tuani. In 2022 it almost replicated the result, as Hakon Osterhagen took second place.
This year, bringing the colours of the Fantic Racing team along the Loketské Serpentiny circuit in Loket will be Cas Valk, riding his Fantic XX 250. The Dutchman won the European title in the EMX125 last year, and this season he debuted in the 250 class and is now striving to secure a place on the podium in the final standings.
Marco Maddii (Fantic Racing team manager): "Cas Valk is participating in Loket this weekend. We have had a successful history in the EMX2T, but we could not defend our 2021 championship title last year due to unfortunate circumstances. Cas is familiar with the track and enjoys it. We are optimistic about the competition but aware that it will be challenging. All participants will be utilising 2-stroke motorcycles and competing on an equal condition."
