Fantic at the GP of Finland with Osterhagen

After his debut in last weekend's Flanders GP, the Norwegian will tackle his second race of the season to continue his full recovery.

Vantaa, July 28th, 2023

The GP of Finland, the fourteenth round of the 2023 MXGP season and the third consecutive round of the MXGP World Championship takes place this weekend.

It will be run at the Vantaa circuit, north of Helsinki, a historic venue that first hosted the FIM Motocross World Championship in 1963. The track was completely renovated in 2020 to a fine sand track and a softer surface.

In the MX2 World Championship, the Fantic Racing team will be present with Hakon Osterhagen, riding the Fantic XXF 250. The Norwegian, who has won three titles since 2021, including the Junior 125 World Championship, missed the first part of the championship due to a fractured femur that occurred in December 2022.

This will be Hakon's second grand prix after his season debut last week at the GP of Flanders, where he took a surprising holeshot, the first for Fantic in the MX2 World Championship.

Marco Maddii (Fantic Racing team manager): "I'm happy with Hakon's debut at Lommel, the most challenging track in the world championship. His pace and starts were impressive, considering his physical condition. This weekend he returns to racing. It is an ideal chance for him because he can exploit the circuit, as only the world championship takes place. This will give him another chance to gain experience, spend more time in the saddle, and enhance his physical condition."
